Dr. Brian Williams
Dr. Williams is a Board Certified
Emergency Physician who has practiced in a variety of hospital
emergency departments throughout the Denver metro area including
Avista Adventist, North Suburban, Rose, Memorial, and the U.S. Air
Force Academy.
Residency:
University of Florida.
Medical School:
Medical College of Virginia.
Personal: Brian has a a teen and 3 young
children. His interests include ice hockey, running, weight
lifting, tennis, and golf.

Dr. Melanie Baughn
Dr. Baughn is a Board Certified Emergency Physician from Tulsa,
Oklahoma. Dr. Baughn worked as an attending physician at
Mercy Muskegon Hospital, Zeeland Community Hospital following
residency. Seeking warmer and sunnier weather, Dr. Baughn
left Michigan to live in Denver and has worked in the emergency
department at Swedish Medical Center.
She is also a faculty member at Rocky Vista University
College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado.
Residency: Michigan State University affiliated
Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Medical School: Oklahoma State University.
Personal: Her outside interests include mountain
biking, hiking, music, spontaneous travel, and comedy clubs.

Dr. Mike Straight
Dr. Straight is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and
Emergency Medicine. He maintains an Internal Medicine
practice in Littleton and also practices Emergency Medicine at St.
Joseph Hospital and the U.S. Air Force Academy. He
additionally consults on environmental medicine cases, an interest
he developed at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta.
Residency: University of New Mexico.
Personal: Dr. Straight balances a keen desire to
avoid a major fracture with a slowly decreasing ability to keep up
with his two very fast sons on the ski slopes. |

Dr. Harlan Stueven, M.D.
Dr. Stueven brings nearly 30 years of emergency medicine practice
experience to LTACC. In addition to his training and certification
in EM, Dr. Stueven has had experience in military medicine,
aviation medicine, medical and environmental toxicology, research
and teaching. By bringing his professional experience, life lessons
and parental background to the exam room, he is trying to ensure
each patient is treated with dignity and has his or her medical
needs met.
Residency: Emergency Medicine; Medical College of
Wisconsin Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 1981 -1983
Medical School: M.D.: University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1973-1977

Dr. Kent Jacobs, M.D.
Dr. Kent Jacobs, M.D. is a Board Certified Emergency Physician
who has practiced in the Denver metro area for 28 years. Hospitals
have included Centennial Medical Plaza, Aurora and Presbyterian-St.
Lukeʼs, where he served as Medical Director for several
years.
Residency: University of Wisconsin, Madison, St
Maryʼs Hospital.
Medical School: University of Colorado School of
Medicine.
Personal: Dr. Jacobs has 15 year old boy-girl
twins who are learning how to drive and a son who is a senior in
college. He and Diane have been married 24 years and enjoy skiing,
occasional boarding and numerous extended family members who have
moved to the area.
